Heidi Jakop is the Director, Volunteer Engagement at Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association and has lead volunteer engagement provincially for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is a proven leader of both staff and volunteers, and has demonstrated expertise in the areas of volunteer recruitment and engagement, training and development, and supporting the strategic growth of programs through the sophisticated deployment of passionate and knowledgeable volunteers. Heidi is also the President of the Administrators of Volunteer Resources of BC. She was most recently an instructor at Langara College where she taught part of the Volunteer Coordinator Certificate Program, and has been a workshop or webinar facilitator for UBC Center for Community Engaged Learning, Vantage Point, the City of Maple Ridge, AVRBC and the United Way.
