SUMMARY:2023 Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference
DESCRIPTION:This is the volunteer management conference presented by VMPC
  (Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada), Better Impact, and AL!V
 E (Association of Leader's In Volunteer Engagement). \n\nNow in its nin
 th year, this year's topic is Leveraging Technology in a Human World: I
 nclusively, Responsibly, Creatively.\n\nThe generation of volunteers in 
 the not too distant future will be very different compared to volunteers
  now.  How can we prepare our policies, programs and recruitment in an 
 inclusive, responsible, and creative way that looks to leverage technolo
 gy in a human world?\n\nThis year's Volunteer Management Hybrid Conferen
 ce will focus on equipping leaders of volunteers with skills to determin
 e how we can use technology to best serve our very human needs in the vo
 lunteer management sector. \n\nWe are pleased to announce our speakers 
 for this year's Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference:\n\n* Beth Kanter
 \n\n* Tony Goodrow\n\n* Stephan Dobri\n\nAnd our Host/Moderator for this
  year's Hybrid Conference is Rob Jackson. \n\nOur current streaming eve
 nt will consist of four 20 minute presentations, local discussion in sma
 ller groups, followed by a moderated discussion with the other presenter
 s (think Ted talk meets late night tv), including responding to question
 s from the audience.\n\nThe broadcast will be streamed live in the Unite
 d States and Canada, with the likelihood of an audience of 1000 or more.
   In order to participate, you will need an internet connection strong 
 enough to handle audio/video streaming and adequate computer or external
  speakers.\n\nYou can learn more about the conference by visiting the ma

 it work? --\n\nOnce you register and we receive payment, we will send yo
 u a unique link and the conference handbook a few days before the event.
  You may register for any time zone that is convenient to you, the conte
 nt for October 18 or 19 will be the same.  Individual registrants will 
 be assigned to small group discussion 'virtual tables' the day of the co
 nference depending on registrations.  We will try to assign you to tabl
 es depending on your geographic area and/or your affinity group, so plea
 se be sure and fill out all the questions to help us assign you to your
