Hot Topic Discussion: Communicating the Value of Volunteers

One of our most important roles as leaders of volunteer engagement is to share the story of volunteer impact and to advocate for our volunteers. In doing so, what language do we use when speaking about volunteers? How do we effectively communicate the value of volunteers and their contributions to internal and external audiences? What strategies have been effective for reaching groups such as staff, senior leaders, funders, and even volunteers themselves?  What metrics, measures and tools are we already using that work and what do we need to start tracking?

These are questions that we will be discussing and exploring in this interactive online meeting. We are trialing the use of zoom for this webinar which will allow us to all see, speak and share with each other. Please only sign up if you are willing to actively participate in the session as it is all discussion based and there are no “presentations.”
