New Webinar Date - Getting Staff On Board

Hosted by the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada (VMPC), in partnership with the Manitoba Association of Volunteer Administration (MAVA) and the BC regional committee (formerly known as AVRBC).

Volunteer programs are more successful if staff is fully engaged in the process. From planning to recruitment to retention, staff can play a key role in ensuring that volunteer programs are responding successfully to the needs of the organization and the volunteers.

This workshop will look at best practices in staff/volunteer relations as it relates to the volunteer management cycle. Topics include how to avoid conflict with staff and how to engage staff in the volunteer onboarding, retention and off-boarding process.

 

Presented by: Lori Gotlieb, President of Lori Gotlieb Consulting

Lori Gotlieb is the President of Lori Gotlieb Consulting as well as co-developer and faculty member for Humber College Volunteer Management Leadership Certificate.

She is a volunteer management leadership expert who provides a unique concierge service to her clients, as well as an internationally published author and workshop facilitator who has taught workshops to many diverse audiences, including Boards and Committees, Associations and Non-profit organizations across North America.

Lori is a contributing author the Volunteer Management Handbook, 2nd Edition and has had numerous articles published in print and online. Lori is also a Board Member and content reviewer for the International Journal of Volunteer Administration, past president of the Toronto Association of Volunteer Administration, mentor for the Provincial Association of Volunteer Administrators in Ontario.

Lori was a recipient of the Linda Buchanan Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management.
