The VMPC Forum was created to foster meaningful connection among volunteer engagement professionals across Canada. Because our community does not gather in person every year, the Forum provides an important annual opportunity for members to come together virtually to share ideas, learn from sector leaders, and strengthen professional relationships.

Volunteer management professionals often work in small teams—or as teams of one—and can feel isolated in their roles. The Forum helps bridge that gap by creating a national space where members can connect with peers who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of volunteer engagement leadership.

Hosting the Forum virtually ensures accessibility for members across the country, taking into account travel limitations, organizational budgets, and the time constraints many professionals face. By offering the event online, VMPC is able to bring together members from coast to coast in a format that is inclusive, practical, and responsive to the realities of the sector.

The Forum also provides an opportunity for high-quality professional development. Each year, the program features respected speakers and practical learning sessions designed to equip volunteer engagement professionals with tools, strategies, and insights they can apply immediately in their work.

Importantly, the VMPC Forum is offered free of charge to members, reinforcing VMPC’s commitment to supporting the growth, connection, and advancement of volunteer engagement professionals across Canada.

Together, the Forum strengthens our professional community, advances the practice of volunteer engagement, and ensures that VMPC members continue to learn from and support one another—no matter where they are located.
